A winger who joined Maccabi Haifa in the summer of 2025 from Beitar Jerusalem.
The wide player, whose full name is Aye Silva Kani Sokpe, arrived at Maccabi at the age of 22. He is the son of parents of Togolese descent, grew up in Bat Yam, and in 2017 received temporary resident status before later becoming a permanent resident. At 18, he enlisted in the IDF and, although he still does not hold an Israeli ID card—which would allow him to represent the Israeli national team—he did not hesitate to turn down a call-up from Togo, hoping that his path to Israel’s national team will open in the future.
Kani began playing in several youth teams in central Israel and, at 14, moved to Bnei Yehuda, where he also made his debut appearances. Soon after, he joined Austria Wien of the Austrian Bundesliga, and after four matches was transferred to their reserve team competing in the second division.
In the summer of 2024, he returned to Israel and signed with Beitar Jerusalem, from which he eventually moved on to Maccabi Haifa.
